Firstly, may I congratulate you on your pregnancy or early motherhood!!

As a doula, I commit to providing emotional and practical support during pregnancy, labour, childbirth and early days to mothers, their partners and their families in Brighton & Hove, Sussex UK and surrounding areas including Portslade, Eastbourne, Chichester, Burgess Hill and Worthing.

I understand and appreciate first hand the importance of warm, trusted companionship and encouragement during labour as a way of making this an enriching experience and minimising technological intervention in the birth process. I also understand and appreciate first hand that continued trusted support in the early weeks can also lead to a sense of calm confidence in caring for your new baby, success with feeding and a reduction in the incidence of postnatal depression.

I understand how to work with the energy of childbirth; meeting and flowing with the energy rather than avoiding or resisting it. As a doula I commit to take you on a journey of discovery, helping you to develop a new respect and appreciation for your body, to recognise the unity of mind and body and to reassure you of your power as a woman in the creation of new life.
